Nestled in the forested hills of Bear River and among some of the most spectacular scenery in Nova Scotia, is the Bear River First Nation Heritage and Cultural Centre.
The Centre interprets the heritage and culture of the Mi’kmaq of the Bear River area. Our people have always referred to ourselves as L’nuk, meaning "The People". Today the word "Mi’kmaq" is the name used for our people.
